Ageing in Latin America and the Caribbean: Changes in Social Structure and Family Roles, Images of Ageing and the Public Policy Agenda


The Third LARNA Conference 'Ageing in Latin America and the Caribbean: Changes in Social Structure and Family Roles, Images of Ageing and the Public Policy Agenda,' hosted by the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing and UNEX Pontificia Universidade Catolica del Peru, was held on 10 & 11 November in Lima, Peru. 

Professor Sarah Harper, Director, Oxford Institute of Population Ageing and Dr George Leeson, Co-director, Oxford Institute of Population Ageing and Director of the LARNA Network participated as Chairs of the meeting and presented keynote lectures.

Thanks to the Co-ordinators Mg. Blanca Lopez and Dr Alejandro Klein and all the generous supporters, this conference was a resounding success paving the way to unique research collaborations, interesting academic initiatives and the strengthening of relationships with other institutions, NGO's and government agencies, all which will serve to progress the ageing research agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean.
