Launch of National Strategy | APPG for Longevity

Prof Sarah Harper and Prof Lynn Cox, members of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Longevity (APPG) Advisory Board, attended the Launch of National Strategy for everyone to have five extra years of healthy independent life-narrowing the gap between richest and poorest on 12 February at King's College London .

The APPG for Longevity was founded in March 2019, recognising the need for a cross- sector response to turn the ‘problem of ageing’ into the ‘opportunity of longevity’- by public policy and developments in science and technology to share the benefits of living longer.

More than 500 attended the launch to hear the Health Secretary Matt Hancock, the APPG chair Damian Green MP, our co-leaders and report co-authors Lord Filkin and Tina Woods, Dr Richard Siow, Director of Ageing Research at Kings, and many distinguished others.
