Future of an Ageing Population - Foresight Report Now Published

The Foresight Programme in the Government Office for Science (GO Science) has now published the final report on  Future of an Ageing Population.

The Foresight Programme has undertaken multi-disciplinary projects addressing key issues for the economy, society and the environment, where science and technology can offer valuable insights and solutions.

The Foresight Future of an Ageing Population Project has used an evidence-based approach to consider the challenges and opportunities of an ageing society, both now and looking forward to 2025 and 2040, and to inform and support government policy. The project has been informed by an expert group which has been chaired by Professor Sarah Harper.

Colleagues from the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing have contributed to the report over this two and a half year project, including preparing material, analysing data, organising workshops and events, and worked with the GO Science Team in London.  With thanks to Dr George Leeson, Dr Kate Hamblin, Dr Maja Založnik and Nana Nanitashvili.
