Building a National Programme of Lifelong Learning in Singapore

Council for Third Age-Oxford Institute of Ageing Workshop 2010
Building a National Programme of Lifelong Learning in Singapore

Following the successful first workshop held in collaboration with Oxford Institute of Ageing (OIA), University of Oxford on 14-16 September 2009, the Council for Third Age (C3A) and OIA are collaborating once again to bring OIA’s expertise on active ageing and lifelong learning to Singapore in 17-19 January 2011. This second workshop seeks to make a unique contribution to Active Ageing and Lifelong Learning in Singapore and Asia. Such focused capacity building will enable Singapore to train future workers, professionals and leaders in the area of gerontology. Participants can also expect to strengthen and build new networks in this field of active ageing. A highlight of the workshop will be a dialogue with Mr Lim Boon Heng, Minister in Prime Minister’s Office, on 18 Jan 2011.
