A delegation from the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing attended the XVIII ISA World Congress of Sociology in Yokohama, Japan from the 13th to the 19th of July.
Dr Jaco Hoffmann presented a paper on Grandparenting in South Africa and also chaired two sessions, namely Family and Elder Care and Older Migrants and Migrant Care Workers. Patricia O'Neill presented a paper Inequality and Emotion Management in Parental Caregiving By Chinese Daughters in the Family and Elder Care session.
