The Oxford Institute of Ageing in collaboration with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the 'Instituto do Evelhecimento' of Lisbon University will be holding a Congress on Population Ageing in Lisbon, Portugal. This launches the close partnership between the two universities on ageing research, an initiative sponsored by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to mirror the academic activities being undertaken by the Oxford Institute of Ageing. The conference, entitled 'O Envelhecimento Populacional: Portugal em perspectiva Comparada', will take place at the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, from 6th to 7th December 2010.
Keynote speeches by Prof. Sarah Harper and Dr. George Leeson will explore dynamics of global population ageing and changes in the demographics of Latin America and Iberian Peninsula.
