Professorial Fellow Bleddyn Davies shares his Expert Insights at Policy and Politics Conference


The upcoming Conference:  40 Years of Policy & Politics: Critical Reflections and Strategies for the Future taking place at the Marriott Hotel in Bristol from 18-19 September 2012 organised by the University of Bristol features a host of leading international academics.

As Founding Editor of Policy and Politics (1972), Institute's of Population Ageing's Professorial Fellow Bleddyn Davies will be sharing his expert perspective on what has changed over the past forty years in his talk 'Analysis over time of the production of welfare approach'.   

Member of the Institutes' research faculty, Professor Davies was awarded an OBE for his services to social science and social policy, and he is an Academician of the Academy of Learned Societies in the Social Sciences, and a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America.

Institute Director, Professor Sarah Harper will be chairing a session on 'Defusing the Timebomb:  Demographics and Ageing Policy' together with Chris Phillipson (Keele University), Liz Lloyd (University of Bristol) and Christina Victor (Brunel University).
