Mr Gutsa holds an MSc in Sociology and Social Anthropology and a BSc Sociology (Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe.  He is currently working as a Lecturer in the Sociology Department at the University of Zimbabwe.

Mr Gutsa has researched and presented papers at conferences and published on various issues affecting older persons in Zimbabwe. These issues range from institutional care, sexuality and HIV/AIDS among older persons as well as the impact of climate change on older persons’ headed households.
