Ageing in Common

The UK will be hosting an event entitled Ageing In Common: An International Perspective – and the event is running from the 16 to the 18th April in Reading. The event has been coordinated under the umbrella of CommonAge, which The Oxford Institute of Population Ageing is a founding member of, and our UK partners the National Care Forum.

This exciting event will provide members with a number of explicit business benefits:-

  • Meet with international delegates addressing similar challenges across the globe – learn from others experiences and identify new approaches to apply within the UK
  • Make international relationships to enable connections relevant for recruitment, learning and service development
  • Understand the position of the UK within the Commonwealth in a post Brexit world
  • Hear the latest research evidence on ageing and age specific conditions
  • Hear from speakers involved in some of the most upto date advances around the built environment and the use of technology
  • Benefit from a detailed discussion about reform of the UK social care sector

As mentioned, The Oxford Institute of Population Ageing has been involved in the planning and development of this event, and strongly encourage you to think about the opportunities it presents to members of your senior team, boards and trustees to explore a broader agenda around Ageing, and to develop relationships across the globe which will provide additional opportunities for learning and interchange for many years to come.

Additional sponsorship has been provided for this exciting event by QCS, which means that there are now a limited number of places available at a discounted rate. Any full bookings made between now and the 23rdMarch will benefit from attracting a second delegate at a 50% discount.

The full details of the conference programme can be found here  and if you require a detailed discussion about any element of the programme, then you are encouraged to contact Vic Rayner at the National Care Forum who will be able to advise.
